Sick Moves runs on your device. Your music and your videos never leave it. This page says exactly what is stored, where, and why.

Your files

The songs and videos you open are read by your browser on your phone or computer and are never uploaded anywhere. The beat analysis, the counting and the video sync all happen on the device. There is no server that could see your files, because none of this needs one.

What the app keeps on your device

Your browser's storage holds your settings, the beat grid and cue point for each song you have opened, the match points for each song and video pair, and the state of your free trial. This is what makes the app remember your work between sessions. It stays in the browser on that device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you clear the site's data in your browser. This storage is necessary for the app to work, so no consent banner is shown for it.

Project files you save are ordinary files on your device that you control.

Your account

Sick Moves has an account so your free practice days and your subscription follow you from your phone to your laptop. We store your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), the days on which you pressed play during the trial, and the one device you are signed in on (signing in on another device signs the previous one out). The welcome email is the only email a new account gets; there is no verification step and no newsletter.

Cookies and the pixels

Sick Moves itself sets no cookies; your settings and your sign-in live in the browser's own storage. The Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel are the exception, and they exist for one reason: to see which posts and ads bring dancers here. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they load only after you press OK on the cookie bar. Elsewhere they load unless you press No thanks. Once loaded they set their own cookies and tell Meta and TikTok that a person opened the app, created an account, started the trial, saw the prices, or paid. Our server sends those same events to Meta and TikTok directly, with your email address hashed, your IP address and browser, and the amount paid, and again only with that consent. Change your mind any time under Cookie settings in the About section, or here: cookie settings.

What we can see

• Visits. Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us page views, countries and referring sites. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it cannot identify you.
• Usage. The app reports a handful of events, such as "signed up", "pressed play on a trial day", "the price page was shown" or "paid", tied to your account and the link you arrived from. We use them to see where people give up and to make the app better. They are never sold or shared.
• Nothing else. No advertising pixels are on the site today. If we add any, they will run only after you say yes to a consent notice.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. When you buy Sick Moves Pro, Stripe collects your payment details, and we receive your email address, the plan you chose and a customer reference. We use them to send your license key, to keep your subscription active, and to answer your support requests. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

Emails

We email you your license key, and we may email you about your subscription (a failed payment, a change in price). We do not send newsletters unless you ask for them. Every email includes a way to reach us.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@sickmoves.app. Deleting your license data ends your subscription and your access to Pro; the app itself keeps working with what is on your device.
